- Watoto – Please pray for each person that our team will come into contact with and work with – from our host to those helping on the building project, etc. Pray a special blessing upon Watoto and that we will be a blessing to them!
- Safe Travel – All flights to be on time – both going and coming home! We have groups flying to London from Atlanta, Houston, Washington D.C., New York (JFK), Chicago, and Los Angeles. We even have one team member flying from Sydney, Australia. Please also pray for all domestic flights to be on time. Pray for the pilots and crew on each aircraft to be fully awake and attentive, and that each plane will operate as usual (no technical problems, etc). Also, this will be the first international flight for many of the team members, so please pray that each one would be at peace and not nervous concerning their flights.
- London – On our way to Uganda, we have a 10-12 hour layover in London, so we have decided to take a train into downtown London to do some sightseeing. Please pray for the safety of the team, and that everyone will stay together. Also, pray for the trains to run on time and for there to be no issues coming in and out of London Heathrow.
- Luggage – Please pray for every piece of luggage to arrive with us as we arrive in Uganda, as well as when we arrive back home.
- Time Zone Difference – Please pray that each team member is able to adjust quickly to the different time zone in Uganda (8 hours ahead of CST), and that we are quick to adjust upon our return.
- Weather – The weather in Kampala right now is high around 80 with lows in the mid 60’s. Please pray for beautiful weather while we are gone so that we can effectively complete the building project.
- Health – Pray for each team member to remain healthy throughout our trip. We will all be taking malaria medication daily, so please pray that we will not have any side effects to the medication. Also, several team members have allergies and specific dietary needs, so please pray that they would remain healthy throughout the trip.
- Building Project – While we are in Uganda, our team will be building a set of four classrooms!! Please pray that we work well together and do everything in excellence. Pray that no one gets hurt during the building project – no one steps on nails, etc.
- Unity – This is the first time many of the team members are meeting each other, so please pray that we will be one in spirit and that there will be a unity among the team. Pray that we will work well together and keep the vision set before us – to bless the people of Watoto!
- Ministry – Pray that God would move and speak through each of us as we spend time with the people at Watoto. Pray that each of us would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit throughout our trip, and that we would have opportunities to minister to others. Also, this is the first mission trip for many of the team members, so pray that they would not hold back, but go after all that God is doing!
- Safari and White Water Rafting – During our time in Uganda, we will be going on a 3-day safari, as well as spending half a day white water rafting down the Nile River. Please pray for the overall safety of the team as we go on this excursion!
- Lodging – There are 8 team members who will be staying overnight in London on the return home – please pray that they remain safe (their hotel is in the airport), stay together, and that they do not miss their connecting flights.
