Well, we made it! Everyone on our team has safely arrived in Uganda after a whole lot of traveling, but we are SO excited to be here! Every single piece of our luggage made it and all of our flights were on time. Thank you so much for your prayers!
Today was a day to rest and get accustomed to being in Uganda. The Watoto team members are very nice and have taken such great care of us thus far. We just finished our first Ugandan dinner – rice, chicken, fresh pumpkin and pineapple, and veggies.
Although today has been a great day to rest and really spend time together, we are excited about tomorrow and spending more time with the people! Please pray for opportunities to pour into the lives of the people here. We have great expectations and know that God is really at work!
Also, we have a great team host, Melvin (see picture). Please pray for him, along with the Watoto hosts at the guesthouse. Pray a special blessing on their lives as they so graciously host us and take care of us.
Please continue to pray for the team as we prepare to “let our light so shine before men (Matthew 5:16).
